Biography
Cormac Doherty is a researcher in the Center for Cybercrime Investigation in University College Dublin working on cybersafety of critical national infrastructure. Cormac's other activities include lecturing, high density hard disk DAta REcovery using adaptive spinstand microscopy (DARE), and consultancy.
Prior to accepting his post as a postdoctoral researcher, Cormac worked as a freelance software developer and systems administrator. Cormac received his PhD from University College Dublin in 2009 for his work on "Autonomic Policy-based Replication for Distributed Data Management". His work stemmed from a collaboration with Ericsson research Ireland that sought to investigate, model, and evaluate grid-based Network Management of future networks. Cormac's doctoral research was performed under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Neil Hurley. Cormac obtained his B.Sc (Hons) in 2004.Professional
