Professional

Before returning to college, I worked for 3 years. I worked for as an Open Source Applications Consultant my work mainly involved writing extensions for Beaumont Hospitals document management system for around a year. For the next two years I worked as a Java Developer for a financial software vendor Murex developing extensions to their Risk Management Software the Murex Limits Controller.

During my Phd, (and during my masters) I have taught and prepared tutorials in the School of Mathematics in Trinity College Dublin. I have also worked on an evaluation of an SVM library written in the Machine Learning Group for PixAlert. More recently I have started working on providing and evaluating machine learning software libraries for Meaning Mine sentiment analysis suite.
