The UCD Computer Science Summer School 10 & 11 June 2010 is a comprehensive 2 day programme* available to students entering 5th and 6th year in September 2010. Student will gain insight into life as a UCD Computer Science Student through...

• Engaging in computing and technology demonstrations
• Participating in practicals and appropriately targeted research seminars delivered by
  • Staff from the UCD Centre for Cybercrime Investigation
  • Entrepreneurs who have set up their own companies in our leading CLARITY and CASL  research facilities.
  • Other School of Computer Science staff and postgraduate researchers
• Working in supervised small groups 
  • Building a desktop computer from the ground up
  • Experiencing rapid application development using Scratch
  • Developing programs to enable Lego Mindstorm Robots to navigate a set of obstacles
• Sharing the development process with their team mates and the entire class with the aid of the multiple displays and shared audio infrastructure of the Active Learning Lab (their base of operations)
