A multi-granular 3D spatial-temporal model tailored to environmental and geographic areas monitoring

This documents reports on the results obtained by the research activity undergone within the IRCSET Postdoctoral Fellowship (2007 Scheme) at the school. The research described in this paper aimed at the development of a spatiotemporal multi-granular data model and query language enabling the efficient and consistent representation and analysis of spatio-temporal data at different levels of details, i.e., granularities, with particular emphasis on threedimensional geometric information.
